MN NORTH UPDATES
Were Back!
Recently our web site was hit by a computer
bug. This put quite a wrench into you, the racers and fans, being able to look up
results and points standings. But as of this morning, all has been repaired,
cleaned, and up to par. So please check the results and points carefully to make
sure that all is there and correct. If you find any discrepancies, please contact us
ASAP. I hope this hasn't inconvenienced you and we will see you in Cloquet!

Junior
14-15 (fan cooled sleds only)
This is a major change. I know the WSA rulebook for 2001-2002 race season,
page 2, states that Junior 14-15 drivers can race a 440 liquid and we have allowed this in
the past, however, we have verified this with ISR.
Junior drivers who are 14-15 can petition in
writing to move up to Junior 16-17 or other classes.
Junior 16-17- (440 cc)
Again, Junior drivers who are 16-17 can petition in writing
to move up to other classes.
Drivers
Under 18
All drivers
under 18 must have their Minor Consent Form on file with WSA. A parent must be on the race sight for each race
and must accompany their child to check in. Another
consent form needs to be signed at check in; I know this is a pain but please help us out.
Our insurance requires it.
Petitions need to be turned in before race day. The ISR rules state that the driver petitioning to move up must be observed by a person from the Junior Race Board.
Petitions only need to be submitted once and can be mailed or faxed with your entry form. The Pros are coming!
That's right folks, the Pro's are
coming to MN NORTH. Interested in the Pro Class? Give us a call. There
will be two classes, Pro Stock and Pro Open.
To
be eligible for year end points race, you will need to participate in 5 different race weekends.
If you run all 7 races with us, you will receive a 25 point bonus.
Racers From Last Year
Please consider the addition of the
District Pro classes to our circuit; when you are choosing the classes to race this year.
We are urging all of the top drivers from last year to "move up" this year. For
example the top Semi Pro's from last year could/should be District Pro's.
Mini racing is growing in the MN NORTH Snocross Series. We will feature a two day race format for the mini's (both Saturday and Sunday). After extensive discussion with ISR, classes have been changed and will now be will be Junior 4-7 Stock(12 mph), Junior 8-12 Stock(15 mph) and Junior 6-12 Improved Stock(18mph). The 2 day format will have 2 rounds of qualifying on Saturday and 1 on Sunday during the LCQ for the adults. The final will be later on Sunday. The same entry form will be used and you can get the necessary forms on our form's page. Pre registration is held for the little ones just like we do for the adults. Sorry, We do not run Kitty Kats in the 120's.

Admission and Pit
This has
changed!! Drivers will receive their admission and pit
pass along with admission and a pit pass for one crew member Free. The
rest of your pit crew will need to purchase general admission and pit passes at prices
that are determined
by the communities. Both the driver and his pit crew are responsible for signing the
waiver.
Important
Again this
year, we are requiring all drivers to
register their frame numbers with us. This
needs to be done only once as long as s/he races the same sled all year. If you change sleds for the weekend it is your
responsibility to let the trailer know before the start of racing that week. This
will save a lot of stress the day of the race. THANKS!
An on-line, printable entry form is available. Here is a helpful hint. Fill in all of your general information before you
make the copies. Then you will only need to
fill in the race information, your classes and sign the back.
